What are Blackheads?

Blackheads are tiny and small clogged pores that pop up due to clogging of hair follicles on the skin. The Blackheads are a type of pimples that are puss filled from within. The black color of the blackhead is due to the dirt, pollutants, and impurities due to which the blackheads pop on the skin. Over a period it gets a shape of the small black dot on the skin that looks odd. It spoils the personality, and hence many of the people try different option to remove them from the skin.

How are Blackheads Formed?

Initially, the blackheads are brown colored dots that form within the skin and slowly the oil of the skin and the outer impurities, to which the skin gets exposed to on a daily regime, makes it a blackhead.

Due to the accumulation of dirt, the brown color dot turns to black in color. The most common areas prone to blackheads are the area where most oil formation takes places. Those are the nose, sides of the nose and cheeks.

  • One who is undergoing hormonal changes with age. This particularly happens because of production of oil on the skin during the time of menstruation cycles, teen days and the time of intake of birth controlling pills.

The intake of dairy products increases blood sugar level. Hence it plays a great role in increasing the number of blackheads.

Symptoms of Blackheads:

Blackheads on the nose and skin are easily visible whereas there are cases when people are confused with the whiteheads. Whiteheads are the ones, which do not have their pores open and the pores of the acne get open, due to the exposure to the pollutants.

  • One should wash his/her face daily
  • Never try to squeeze your blackheads on the nose as the mark is left behind, which makes your face look awkward.
  • Always use face wash and cleansers that include salicylic acid.

Exfoliate Your Nose with a Scrub:

Scrubbing your nose is imperative if your skin is prone to blackheads. It helps to remove the blackheads without leaving a spot of the same on the nose. While you scrub you, it helps you remove the dead skin cells on the nose and also get rid of the excess oil, which all the more increases the chances of blackheads. Baking Soda is one of the very effective ingredients that help in the removal of blackheads. Have two tablespoons of baking soda and mix it with water and apply the mixture onto your nose. Let it stay for a few minutes and then massage gently. Repeat the step twice a day to get rid of it in short span.

Steam Your Face before Exfoliating:

One of the quickest and easiest ways to get rid of blackheads. Facial steaming helps you to loosen and soften up your skin and therefore opens the pores. This helps in reducing the number and possibility of blackheads. You can use evaporator for this as it can help to take steam directly to face and then rinse it off. This can lead to the removal of the blackheads forever.

Cinnamon:

Cinnamon is a very amazing ingredient that is very beneficial health ingredient. It will be very great to know that cinnamon mixed with honey helps in removing blackheads. Apply this paste on your nose, and other affected areas leave it to dry. Then wash it off with cold water.

Lemon Juice:

Lemon juice, we think this is one such essential ingredient that helps in getting rid of some skin issues. So does lemon juice does miraculously well with the blackheads? One of the ways to apply lemon juice on blackheads is to make a natural scrub. Adding yogurt, honey and lemon juice and salt all together can do this. Then rub on your nose to remove the blackhead. Repeating this process will let you remove the blackhead instantly.

Orange Peel Extract:

Orange is also a very amazing bleaching agent. It has vitamin C. To make this paste to take off your blackhead from nose you need to have only an orange peel. Peel the orange and let the peel dry. Once it is dried out, grind it into powder. Then add milk according to your usage to the powder. Apply the paste on your nose where you have blackheads. Apply this paste for a week.
