Remove Back Acne Scars Naturally at Home

Acne, whether it occurs on the face, hands or the back can be extremely painful and ugly. The aching red spots can be particularly uncomfortable if they occur on the back, making it difficult to lie and sit properly. The back region of the human torso is a large area. It remains covered for the major part of the day, and as a result, it is sweaty and wet. Such conditions are perfect for blocking the skin’s pores with dirt and grime and making a conducive condition for the eruption of acne.

Back Acne Scars:

These scars develop after the back has been cured of red and painful inflammatory acne. This type of acne consists of pimple cysts which have a root deep into the back and can damage skin tissue. Since the back is prone to sweat owing to the presence of several sebaceous glands. The excessive sweat blocks the pores resulting in the accumulation of bacteria and breaks out of it. Healing this area is also difficult because the acne gets rubbed against clothes, backpacks, or any kind of back support and tends to rupture. The ruptured acnes heal late and leave behind scars.

Different Types of Acne Scars

These scars can be of four types depending on certain factors:

  1. Pitted scars: These look like depressions on the back and can again be divided into rolling, box and icepick scars. Rolling scars look like potholes with sloping edges; boxcar scars cannot be erased easily because they have defined edges. Icepick scars are the most difficult ones to deal with because they go deep into the skin and make normal healing difficult.
  2. Hypertrophic scars: These scars stick out of the skin’s surface.
  3. Hyper and hypopigmentation: When the acne scars have healed completely, some discoloration remains on the skin. In the case of darker spots, it is known as hyperpigmentation while the lighter areas are called hypopigmentation.
  4. Permanent scars: This is the last type, and the scars look like red dots. In this case, the blood capillaries near the skin’s surface have dilated permanently leaving behind those red dots.
